חָשַׁק

חָשַׁק(b. h.) to press, tie, surround. Ab. Zar.35a (ref. to Cant. 1:2) חֲשוֹק שׂפתותיך זו בזו press thy lips together and be not too hasty in replying. 2) (cmp. חָפַץ) to be attached to, in love with; to elect.
